Italian Seasoning Blend - make your own!
I find that many spices get stale when they are stored for more than a year. I found that creating my own Italian Seasoning Blend for my husband's vinagrette dressing is a way to use up some of the spices in my spice drawer. This blend is equal parts of 1/2 tsp dried oregano, and 2 tsps of these: rosemary, marjoram, thyme and basil. To complete this blend I would suggest salt black pepper. Since my husband adds salt and pepper to the salad dressing jar, he wanted an Italian Blend without them.
